The housing market is tough in the U.S., too, though it seems to differ in severity region by region. (Prices still at top-dollar in my neck of the woods ... and selling!) And no, we wouldn't want to turn this house over to 'anybody'. I would die to see somebody stick a deck and carport on the side of 'our house'.
